Sarajit Sir’s way of explaining things was different, and in the best possible way. I was his student from Class V all the way till Class XII, and over those years, he became much more than just an English teacher.

His support was never limited to academics. I still remember him going out with me to buy books and then treating me to something at the Coffee House. He always treated us like teenagers — not children, but not quite adults either. I think at that age, having a mentor who understands that stage of life and guides you with that kind of perspective is incredibly important.

He was excellent at what he did. His classes never felt boring. In fact, when he taught us Shakespeare, it often felt like we were actually characters in the stories rather than just students reading a textbook. If I had the chance, I would happily sit through one of his classes all over again.

What I admire most about him is the respect he has for education. He doesn’t just teach his students; he makes them understand the value of learning and encourages them to respect education as much as he does.

I feel fortunate to have been his student, and I’m sure many of his students would say the same.

I have had a wonderful experience learning from Sarajit Sir. He helped me improve my English score from 46 to 93 in my Class 10 Board examinations. Even now, in Class 12, he continues to be an amazing teacher and mentor. He is always available to guide and support me and feels more like an elder brother than just a teacher. He has made grammar genuinely understandable, while reading literature now feels far less like a chore and more like analysing a good story.
